Hi,

Do you know guys how to access File thumbnails from
python-DBUS-Tracker script ?
Do I need to use Org.Freedesktop.thumbnailer ? Tracker method via DBUS
interface ?

Tracker doesn't store the thumbnail location of a file because the
applications can calculate the thumbnail name easily following the
specification [1] (it is the md5(name of the file) + .png
in .thumbnails/size)

Tracker scans your files, and if it is "thumbnable" call that
org.freedesktop.thumbnailer API for you, so as a general case you never
need to call that API.

I'm getting confused with all this ...

It is not documented anywhere (we should fix that). At least we are
following a standard 0:-)

Thanks for help,

 Very welcome,

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your reply, I'll grab thumbnails with this method.

Best regards,
