Hi,
Hi :)
A while ago someone limited the log file to grow to about 10MB.
On the indexer-split branch we use GLib for logging. There is no limit
as far as I know.
That
to me means it's unnecessary to delete it on every start-up.
It is necessary because we append to the log file each time, we want a
new log file for each instance.
But why I
care is that I want to be able to have my 'tail -f
~/.local/share/tracker/trackerd.log' continue giving output without me
re-running it between daemon restarts. Thanks...
This should work fine right now on the indexer-split branch at least.
Plus there is also tracker-indexer.log there now too, so you can see
what mischief the indexer has got up to :)
