[Tracker] trackerd running when I didn't start it?

Once I index all my stuff initially I don't really
have a need to run trackerd 24x7x365; so I'll start it
every couple of days via cron, let it run for the day
until I shut down and that works pretty good.

The problem is that I notice when I haven't started
trackerd but run tracker-search-tool (or
tracker-preferences), it apparently starts trackerd
then leaves it running even after tracker-* is closed.

Do you think it would be tidier if when trackerd
wasn't running when tracker-* is started, that maybe
trackerd shouldn't be left running after they're closed?
