depends what you are changing

if its a small trivial bugfix go ahead and apply

if its a new feature or a non-trivial bugfix you need to ask me first
(we are still in feature freezr atm as there are a few critical
buigfixes needed before we can relese 0.6.4 so new features will be
rejected atm)
