Re: [Tracker] Proposed patch: use \'~\' in the config file

thanks but would it not be simpler to use the posix realpath? (man
realpath for info)

realpath does not convert ~. It just normalize paths like .././../.// and so on
we can really use realpath but this is not a substitute to write
~/documents

When you move home user dir to another path, you must rewrite absolute paths in
tracker cfg file, using ~ is simpler (and shorter).

feel free to resubmit patch using realpath if it does. If not can you
also include realpath anyhow

Yes, i can do that, but i like to have ~ shortcut :)
I don\'like to know the absolute path to my home.
