[Tracker] tracker daemon is not properly user-aware ?

I find that after su to any user other than the one logged-in, tracker-status reports a problem:
$ tracker-status
tracker daemon's status is Idle.
$ su
Password:
# tracker-status
tracker-status: no connection to tracker daemon
Ensure "trackerd" is running before launch this command.
