Im pleased to announce a new version of tracker with tons of exciting

Well done on the new release.
I noticed the deskbar-applet is not shipped with the released tarball,
is it intentional?
dunno - what did we do with 0.5.4?
It was in 0.5.4
if it was included then I guess we should do likewise - im surprised
make dist did not pick it up if so
It has never been part of make dist though (AFAIK).
It was part of make dist in 0.5.4.
I already found the culprit: commit r444:
It introduced an AM_CONDITIONAL for USING_DESKBAR_APPLET, with default
for no. So handler_DATA is empty by default!
AM_CONDITIONALs should either be used for SUBDIRs or
python/deskbar-handler/tracker-handler.py has to be added directly to
EXTRA_DIST.
I will fix that asap.
great thanks - I dont know if you can autodetect deskbar applet or not
but if so it would be nice to print a msg indicating deskbar support
after running configure (like the other optional stuff)
I will update the linked tarballs when done and then tag them as 0.6.0
branch
