No patch, but did you fixed the g_thread_init() call to avoid warnings
with newer glibs?
Check $HOME/.xsession-errors for something like:
***MEMORY-WARNING***: [1135]: GSlice: g_thread_init() must be called

invocation of g_thread_init() has been detected; this program is likely
