As realized now this was quite useless from the beginning :)
Forget about this discussion.
I don't think its entirely useless. In fact, it might be a good
discussion to have if at the end of it, a consistent and
distro-agnostic packaging format for tracker can be achieved. That'll
be good for easy documentation and tracker's website development
