Jamie and Guys,
I am hacking a bit on nautilus integration with Tracker. I was
wondering what peoples thoughts are on the following;
1) Should tracker/nautilus ship with a predefined list of tags roughly
equivilent to the basic emblem-* icons supported by the icon-theming
spec.... (important, readonly, link, smiley faces, etc)
2) Is attaching an image to a tag something that would be
interesting/possible within tracker? For example in leaftag, tags
could be associated with an image either by icon-name or by a small
serialized representation of the tag stored in the DB.
Uh, this would be sweet. Fx. Firefox stores base64 encoded favicons in its search engine description files. Tracker could do something similar for tags... Great idea.
Cheers,
Mikkel
3) Is namespacing tags supported or interesting from trackers
perspective? For example presenting 500 tags in the nautilus UI is a
bit unweildy. Could this list be restricted to a subset through
namespacing or is this problem better solved elsewhere, like with a
typeahead filtering sidebar ala f-spot?
Thanks
John
