Re: [Tracker] File searching tool Catfish

Pretty nice! I like the idea of a single gui to use either slocate, find or tracker.

A few off-the-cuff suggestions:

- Full-text search with tracker: I didn't have time to thoroughly test it, but it seems that it's only returning results that match the metadata of the file, not results found inside the document.

- Preview: Seeing a portion of each file found (with the text highlighted) is pretty essential to narrowing down the search. Either this could be done with the preview next to each file (as tracker-search-tool does), or a panel which shows the preview for the highlighted file. (the advantage of the latter is that the list can be more compact and you can show more of the preview).

- Regex: Add regex capability to the search box.

- Add checkbox to only search metadata or also full-text search.

Hi,
I created a new file searching tool. It is a frontend for different search
daemons such as tracker. I tried to keep the interface simple. The GUI is done
in pure Gtk+2 so that it fits in with Xfce very well. Please give it a try, any
feedback appreciated.
