yeah but where does it say its acquiring metadata storage?

anyway not that it matters - I will have lots of time at xmas to work on
xesam support in tracker

 
From Beagle 0.3.0 announcement item 7:

* Support for additional external metadata on previously-indexed
documents. This allows new backends or external applications to attach metadata that can then be searched on.

Anyways, I have some good xesam news coming up later today...
