I tried it with the current stable version of deskbar-applet (2.18.1),
and I get the following error message when I try to start
deskbar-applet:

Error loading the file:
/home/michael/.gnome2/deskbar-applet/handlers/tracker-handler-2.py.

Is it really necessary, to depend on a development version of
deskbar-appplet to get the plugin working? That would be very
unfortunate.
