We use two columns and I think it's okay to put the logo slightly
between the navbar and the content. Exactly where it is.

Ok. No problem.

I've tested the link with every size and they are still working.
Can you explain?

Sure, it seems like 10em is a bit narrow for the navbar, therefore I
adjusted this to 10.5em - I think this really is a firefox/fonts
glitch so, widening it a bit and setting all navbar words to nobreak
kind of fixes this. This also means that when there are navbar entries
that are too big, they will overlap the cells (more or less).

I've made a test ;)

It seems really strange.
I can reproduce this type of behavior with epiphany, not with firefox.
Anyway fixing the navbar width to 11em seems to fix it.

The navbar should increase with the text without any trouble. And the
text should never be broken into two lines.

I've made the test with epiphany, firefox and konqueror.

last one is with text wrapping, the other two (first an extreme
example) have white-space: nowrap turned on.

What i'd like is the second one, i.e. white-space:nowrap and ul.navbar
width:10.5em or 11.em ;)

What do you think?

I agree with you.

Best,
Michele
