Nope. I get this
# cvs add image
? image/Makefile.am
? image/jpeg_thumbnailer
? image/png_thumbnailer
cvs [server aborted]: "add" requires write access to the repository
and still nothing new when I try to recreate the patch.

I think you need to do a 'cvs add <file or dir>' first. Then try your cvs
diff.
