Great thanks very much. (btw some of those options are obsolete but dont 
worry about it!)

I was planning to do a config wizard type app with a notification icon 
that would also auto activate trackerd at startup so yeah your stuff 
will save me some time there.

I also think it should be combined with the official gui for tracker 
which will either be one I (or someone else) write in C or Mikkel's 
Barracuda in python

I figure a gui in C would be necessary at some point if I want other 
desktops like XFCE to use it.
