[Tracker] Errors in SQLite stored procedures ?

I've been trying to run a fresh install of trackerd (recent CVS). When the daemon starts, and churns through 
its initial interrogation of my files, among all the presumably-normal messages I get _lots_ of these:

ERROR : prepared query InsertPendingFile failed due to SQL logic error or missing database

and fewer, but still a lot, of

ERROR : prepared query CreateService failed due to SQL logic error or missing database
and
ERROR : prepared query InsertServiceWord failed due to SQL logic error or missing database

I've stepped through the startup process, and can confirm:

 - other SQL procedures are working
 - sampled data supplied to the InsertPendingFile procedure seems to be consistent with that procedure, and 
with the table affected  by the procedure (but I'm very small on SQL)

The database (data and depots) exists. I'm using sqlite 3.3.6.

Any suggestions about how to deal with this ?
