    Hi.

Thanks for all recent improvements in tracker.

Just got a remark against the last CVS version or trackerd that creates
and leaves hundreds of 'tempfile's in my home directory (only for png
    and wmf files).

I do not get this for png files (I dont have any wmf's)

in fact we don not create any temp files in your home folder (unless
the extractors do?)

Because of the amount of such files my nautilus is quickly overwhelmed,
    and eventually crashes.

?

would it be possible to make trackerd remove these files after their use?

can you name the files and their contents?

sure: a snippet of
$ls ~/tempfile.*

at least some of these files seem to be the images contained within PowerPoint presentations I index... but there are too many of those for me to be sure whether that's the case for all images.

This issue is still open with brand-fresh CVS checkout, on Ubuntu Dapper.

Thanks for your attention. Please let me know if I can provide any useful information.
Bertrand.
