s/cleanup/run through 'indent' :-) jk, look for any simple
optimizations, maybe move the autotools junk to a subdirectory with
AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, etc.

Also, I've gotten searching through Python to work. I gotta get myself
a website first, then I'll put it up somewhere and post a link here.
