Here lies the outstanding work still needed :

5) GUI for searching

I have played a bit with this in Python and it seems to be pretty easy
to get something going pretty easy. But it needs the full dbus api to
max out the bling value.

I hope to have the DBUS stuff fully finished sometime next week.

I have a few ideas and some code I'll toss on the ML when it is able to
run without knowing the code inside out :-)

Great.

I am planning to propose Tracker for next version of Gnome (hopefully there wont be too much resistance to prevent it getting in!)

The cut off date for new modules is 24th - 26th April (the week after Easter) - if you could have something usable before then it would be really great and will certainly help its inclusion in Gnome.

Other things that would help will include getting Deskbar to use Tracker by default for indexing things like .Desktop files, web bookmarks and history (IE all the stuff that delivers a faster startup time for Deskbar) and as its dbus based you wont have to compile in support as you do for beagle. I shall be working on getting tracker to index these services in the next few weeks.

6) Test suite for Dbus interface (could be done in Python - any volunteers?)

I started doing one in Python a while ago, but got swamped with other stuff. It will need some sample data to
do real unit testing...

thats great but this is the least important of the to-do stuff so it can wait til last.

Thanks for your help and support - its really appreciated!
