Please upgrade Tomboy to prevent data loss

Hey Alpha Users,

Ross Burton recently identified a bug in Tomboy that could cause it to
send blank content to Tomboy Online during a sync, which could end up
leading to loss of note data. In his experience, this was caused by
using Gnote for a little while, and then bringing the notes back into
Tomboy.

The bug required a simple fix, and I have released updated versions of
Tomboy to address it.

Please make sure you are using Tomboy 1.2.2 (old stable series), 1.4.2
(current stable series), or 1.5.2 (current development series) if you
are synchronizing with Tomboy Online.

Bugs have been filed with openSUSE, Fedora, and Ubuntu. Fedora and
Ubuntu have updates on the way, and I'm sure openSUSE will follow suit
shortly.

If you prefer, you can get packages directly from the Tomboy team.

Ubuntu users can use our stable PPA to get 1.4.2 for Karmic, Lucid, or Maverick:

https://launchpad.net/~tomboy-packagers/+archive/stable

...or our development PPA to get 1.5.2 (also for Karmic, Lucid, and Maverick):

https://launchpad.net/~tomboy-packagers/+archive/development

openSUSE 11.2/11.3/Factory and SLED11 SP1 users can use the
GNOME:Apps:Tomboy repository to get 1.4.2, or
GNOME:Apps:Tomboy:Unstable for 1.5.2.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

-Sandy
