Can you try to upgrade automake to 1.9? Although 1.7 should work fine of
course :-\

I fear this ain't a problem in Tinymail's build environment, but rather
in your autotools installation.

Are these Maemo rootstraps very recent? Has somebody else tried
compiling with the rootstraps that Antia is using (I haven't)?
