I posted various roadmaps and todo lists, you can probably distillate a
few nice projects out of that?

This is indeed doable in case you integrate GMainLoop with the mainloop
of Qt, or if you abstract a mainloop and refactor all mainloop depending
code of tinymail to that abstraction.
