Hi.
I've integrated your ideas into platform.pl.in, where we're now checking
for the lsb-release file before checking any other files. If the new
distros start using the lsb, that will be reflected in the corresponding
backends, don't worry: our code is flexible enough to stir in this
direction as the situation may demand.
It is important to note that all parameters, except LSB_VERSION in
/etc/lsb-release are optional, and that the standard fails to define how
the distributions are supposed to name the /etc/<distro>-release file,
which finally leaves us in the same check code structure we're running
with now.
