[Setup-tool-hackers] CVS modules

Hello again:
I have donwload two modules from gnome anoncvs: setup-tools-backends and
ximian-setup-tools. 
The setup-tools-backends contains only a macros directory. The
ximian-setup-tools contains two directorios with similar name: backend
and backends, this last directory is empty.

What will be te correct source distribution...? I think that separate
the backends in a moudule is very nice, since I can use it like a
library...
Or is the setup-tools-backends a dead module?
