i don't have time to fix this.  what you may need to do is make the
tools all accept the popt options that the control center may give.  you
may want to link against the old control center library for this to work
better.

keep in mind that people are using the OLD control center, and that the
tools will pop up in their own window rather than embed in the control
center. 

this will be confusing and not really work right, so you may just want
to not install into the control center until the new control center is
out and people are using it.
