[Setup-tool-hackers] GLX/GL/Driver setup

    One last questions  :)  Have you guys ever thought of a GLSetup utility? I
know loki is VERY interested in this. Maybe ximian, loki, nvidia, the DRI
team, matrox, etc... can coordinate a utility such as this that can keep it
all up to date. It being: SDL, latest stable drivers, glut, glu, gle,
etc......  For some users, installing linux to only have to figure out how to
install 3d drivers and setting up the XF86Config is a pain in the ass and very
unattractive. Also, 3d driver setup seems to be the #1 user support topic. If
there was a GLSetup utility that determined the video card, contacted a
server, looked at the database for the newest driver, had a spec file for that
driver and video card, and could then install it accordingly, that would ease
the suffering of many linux newbies. Any thoughts on this?
