Yes, now I know what it is I'll use it.

I've yet to find gnome docs re. registering sawfish.desktop to make 
sense of the metacity code though.  I presume that there isn't anything 
that sawfish actually needs to register, just something to cause an 
immediate return of control rather than a time out as happens now.
