How do I move a running application from one desktop to another

Hi,

I am a Sawfish + GNOME user and I have the following question for you:
I working on many applications in parallel and as a result my workspace became very crowded. 
Therefore, I tried but failed to move some application (that are already running) to a different work space. 
Can you help ?
