[sabayon] Only saving to $HOME/.gconf.xml.defaults

Hello!

I've been hacking for the last couple of days in a frantic fury trying to get a
functioning sabayon for Ubuntu Jaunty and Karmic.

I'm running into what I *think* is incorrect behavior, and was wondering if
anyone could shed some light.

I've started with the 2.25 "Bitter tea" release, and have applied the patched
listed in bugs 551535 and 542604.  Certainly, now, I can launch a sabayon
editor window, make some changes, and save the profile.  Yay!

I also had to patch an assert that was cr*pping out in the mozillabookmarks
section to get the sabayon-apply going.  That seems to work now.

However, in the zip file created, none of the settings ever get put into
"$HOME/.gconf.xml.mandatory", only "...defaults".  The end result is, icons or
applets added to the panel don't show up.  However, things like changing the
background image seem to work.

Any thoughts?
