I should have mentioned that: those files exist. I made sure of that
before the test profile was applied to the test user.
As far as I can see, FC4 and CentOS 4 look the same in terms of the
sabayon install. Here's a list of the relevant gconf directories/files
in the test user's home directory:
drwx------ 4 ksandhu ksandhu 4096 Feb 26 11:44 .gconf
drwx------ 2 ksandhu ksandhu 4096 Feb 26 11:46 .gconfd
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ksandhu ksandhu 47 Feb 26 11:49 .gconf.path.defaults
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ksandhu ksandhu 48 Feb 26 11:49 .gconf.path.mandatory
drwxr-xr-x 4 ksandhu ksandhu 4096 Feb 26 11:39 .gconf.xml.defaults
drwxr-xr-x 4 ksandhu ksandhu 4096 Feb 26 11:39 .gconf.xml.mandatory
Here's the content of the .gconf.path.* files:
xml:readonly:/home/ksandhu/.gconf.xml.defaults
xml:readonly:/home/ksandhu/.gconf.xml.mandatory
The contents of the directories match the ones on FC4.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Ranbir
