Re: "Proper" way to set up rygel auto start on a headless server ?

Respectfully, could you supply a link for this ? And the command
line that you would use to invoke it ?

for user session:

systemctl --user enable rygel
systemctl --user start rygel

If you do not have the service, it is at https://git.gnome.org/browse/rygel/tree/data/rygel.service.in (needs to replace the @bindir@)

The system service is at https://git.gnome.org/browse/rygel/tree/examples/service/systemd/rygel.service

I'm also getting dbus errors. Comments ?

Regarding the dbus errors. The answer to that ranges from "Can be ignored" to "You need to have a running session bus for rygel". But that is depending on a) the error and b) the back-end you try to use and whether or not you want automatic video thumbnailing
