Hi Jens,

The OE recipe is compiling the C files provided in the tarball, not the Vala ones ; thus, in my understanding, it doesn't need VAPIs for dependencies, and in fact dependencies such as "gupnp" are specifically compiled with "--without-introspection"  (I may be wrong on this matter, though).

I think this would definitely make sense if progress on gobject-introspection doesn't happen ; Jussi mentions the contrary, which I am glad to hear.

If it follows OE, then I guess with various hacks :\

The good news on that is that Alexander Kanavin is right now working
on getting g-i to work in a cross compile environment (with the
intention of getting it to work on OE and incorporated upstream):

saying he's making good progress.

So hopefully the gobject introspection situation is better soon.
