Yes, rygel-preferences is accessible from the Settings menu, but it
doesn't seem to launch rygel itself. Perhaps this is what you mean by
the version being too old.
In any case, I'm liking rygel. I've been using fuppes up until now, and
rygel seems to be the better way forward.
