I don't generally spend much time listening to internet radio or
streaming audio, but I decided to tune into a show this afternoon. While
listening, there were several times I could have benefitted from some
DAR (digital audio recorder) functionality. I came across
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=320233 from a couple of years
ago, with an submitted plugin for recording streams, which I haven't
been able to determine if it actually works yet, and which offers fairly
limited functionality to begin with. It would be nice to be able to have
a stream automatically buffered to a temp file, so that listeners could
hit pause, rewind to a previous point in the stream, jump ahead to the
"live" end of the stream, etc.
Does this seem like a compelling feature for rhythmbox?
