Party mode is at least intended to be more than just maximising the
window and removing the window decorations. It's intended for use in
situations where you allow other people to use the interface, without
giving them full access. It doesn't fully implement this, however.

A quick scan of the comments and some testing tells me:
- makes the main window full screen size, on top of all other windows,
and on all desktops
- disables menu items for trashing files or removing them from the
library, deleting playlists, and quitting rhythmbox
- when a song is double clicked, add it to the play queue rather than
playing it immediately
Anyone using this should be aware that party mode does not provide any
access control on *leaving* party mode, so it doesn't stop anyone who
can read menus or mash function keys (f11) from getting at anything else
on the machine.
