This is greatly needed I think! Nice initiative. I just read the
ubuntu-thread, and I'm just like you, I can code but have no artistic
skills at all. I hope this can result in a fresh new good looking page.

But also I hope you keep just as much focus on content. The page should
invite useres to contribute, whether it is translations, plugins or
patches. A centralized place for third party plugins should also be
included. A more comprehensive FAQ and plugins-witing-howto would also be
a good idea.
