[Rhythmbox-devel] MIDI / Kar/ file formats supported

Can one play MIDI using rhythmbox ?.  It would be interesting include this free codec and some free files (because MP3 is not possible).

 

And also play *.kar files (standard karaoke files), using a plug-in (it is identical to midi, but with lyrics; so one can play *.kar files in midi players, only changing the extension)..

 

It could also use Hal Device Manager to obtain information about sound devices and drivers in Gnome / Freedesktop.org

 

Finally, I suggest include in the Gnome Live Wiki or in the official website, include information about the file format supported.
