Hi there,
I have poor audio quality in Rhythmbox (and other gstreamer apps) compared
to mplayer when I play to my USB headphones: clicks, and skips. Sounds
like it's to play at the wrong rate and has to catch up, although the
pitch is right.
Here's the config:
Default output pipeline: alsasink device=hw:1,0
In mplayer I use:
$ mplayer -ao alsa:device=hw=1.0 *.mp3
Which gives:
AO: [alsa] 44100Hz 2ch s16le (2 bytes per sample)
Here's my USB headset:
Bus 005 Device 006: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
What can I do to improve sound quality? How can I debug what's happening
within gstreamer?
Thanks for the help.
