Hi all,

Making rhythmbox smart enough to detect compilations is probably not
possible. It is quite easy to implement grouping of compilations ala
itunes, by letting the user tag what is and what isn't a compilation.

This is actually very quick to do -
In the browser's album view, click on an album that is a compilation,
select all the songs, right click on the selection and check the "[]
is part of compilation" box, and hit ok.

iTunes will then show those songs as if the artist is 'compilation'.

This is saved in the itunes xml database, not in the id3 tag. It would
be much better if this could stored in the id3 tag.
