think this is not the only problem with tla 1.2. Some time ago it
screwed one of my commits which forced me to edit the generated patch
and manually regenerate the gpg signature for it. Since then, I switched
to 1.3 and never had any problems.

The only way I can think of to do (b) would be to remove the file from
arch, change it's id and re-add it. But that would give us whole host of
other problems, so maybe the best thing to do is try to get everyone to
use a version newer then 1.2 (and not put quotes in the id of any future
files).
