Hi,
yesterday I read about the new iPod support for Rhythmbox in the list
archive of mail.gnome.org, but couldn't find out if you use it with the
AAC/MP4 format or rather with MP3 only.
If AAC/MP4 encoding is missing yet, you could use the open source codec
FAAC for that just like foobar2000 (a Windows audio player) does it with
foo_pod.dll, its iPod plugin. Since there is a gstreamer plugin for FAAC
now, it should be possible to use it for transcoding any input format in
Rhythmbox to AAC/MP4, or am I wrong?
By the way, does the gstreamer plugin also tag *.m4a files with iTunes-
compatible tags like the command line version of FAAC does?
