A bit late joining the mailing list, but just thought I'd add my
comments to this thread.  Please please please don't let rhythmbox start
renaming my files.  I'm very happy with the way they're organised on
disk at the moment and if rhythmbox is going to start messing with them
then that will be enought for me to stop using rhythmbox.  I've used
iTunes on someone elses computer and it quickly annoyed me (it even
deleted some songs without me asking it to, which was REALLY
irritating).  If you must set up a system that reorganises files on
disk, then PLEASE make it optional with the default as off so that it
doesn't attack my directory structure before I tell it to.
