[Rhythmbox-devel] trouble running config file

I hope this is the right place to ask this question... I couldnt find
anywhere else to get help about this, and believe me, Ive tried.

When I run the configuration file, it gives the following error:

Package gstreamer-0.8 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gstreamer-0.8.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gstreamer-0.8' found
configure: error: GStreamer not found, or older than version 0.8.1

I have the latest version of gstreamer installed, and I have changed the
PKG_CONFIG_PATH variable accordingly.

[root localhost rhythmbox-0.8.4]# echo $PKG_CONFIG_PATH
/home/greg/download/gstreamer-0.8.3/pkgconfig/

Could anyone there help me or direct me to where I could get some help
about this problem??
