Yeah, I was looking at that as well. Theoretically, this is possible if
you know how to access the widget you could pack a new menu item into it.
I also was looking to do something like this but like you I haven't
explored it. For me specifically, I was looking to change tooltips but
was met with much resistence. To do dynamic stuff, we would have to get
rid of the bonoboui layer that is currently being used. A lot of work.
