Hi !

Do you know libextractor ? It's a little library used to extract keywords
from many different types of files, and to find mimetype, title, artist,
album, encoding... It works at the moment with mp3 (ID3 from all
versions), ogg, wav, mpeg, html, pdf... I don't know about mpc. But it
avoids recoding all functions several times for each project and makes
easier and quicker evolutions to new formats. Coding new plugins is very
easy using its standard interface. It exists in debian and rpm packages,
and is used by the GNUnet project.
