Did you also upgrade GStreamer?
What happens if you run the following command (after editing the path)?
gst-launch gnomevfssrc location=/path/to/my/musicfile.ogg ! spider ! volume ! $(gconftool-2 -g /system/gstreamer/default/audiosink)
