I'll give you a target.... *cough*gnome cd player*cough*...
besides we got two out of three on that list... not too bad if you ask me :)
but seriously, according to those guidelines we should have an applet and
not a notification area icon. If we are primarily using it to indicate
status, then its fine. perhaps different icons for different states and a
bubble window or whatever when a new song starts playing would suffice.
An applet seems a bit overkill to me though.
