I'm having problems similar to Mark's. Except my test-cmdline yielded:

There was a long pause before "Audio finished" and there was no sound.
the gst-launch command line works fine and rhythmbox itself seems to 
work except its producing no sound. I checked the mixer and nothing is
muted but the mic. net-rb still works fine. I tried cleaning gst and mm
and rb off the system totally and rebuilding but that didn't help. This
is a cvs checkout from yesterday? Any tips?
