Thanks for getting this reviewed and ready to land quickly.

I'd like to see this in GTK+ for 3.12. For others: this is a (late)
feature on the 3.12 feature list:

It can be disabled at configure time, and only adds json-glib and
librest dependencies to GTK+ when enabled.

+1 for the release team
